Happy Halloween!

Here are a few pictures that I took before I took the girls trick or treating. They really had fun. Allie was a pretty little princess and Kaylie was a bunny rabbit. They both looked adorable and they had so much fun! I can't believe that this time last year it was Allie's first Halloween and she couldn't even walk.

My little girl is a soccer stud!!

Well, who would have thought that my little girl would be so into soccer. The same little girl who loves to play dress-up and is anti-anything that has to do with a boy. She is so very girly-girl, as we all know. I am so excited to say that she is quite the little stud at soccer. I'm so proud of her. Here are some pictures from last Saturday's game.

I'm a soccer mom!

Kaylie started soccer last week, so I am officially a soccer mom! She really seems to like it. I think it will help her with coordination. She practices two times a week and her first game is next Saturday. She will have two games every Saturday for the next few months, so we will be pretty busy this fall, which is a good thing. Her team is an all girl team called the Shooting Stars, and their uniforms are hot pink. (For those of you who know Kaylie, pink is the only color that would have been acceptable. So, I was relieved when the coach made that announcement.)

Who am I?

In the last few weeks, as many of my friends and family know, I have been going through a rough time. I believe that what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger. I want to come out on top after all is said and done with this. I have been thinking a lot about the kind of person I am and the kind of person I want to be. I have been asking myself who am I? Because lately, it seems like I am constantly being judged and I want everyone to know who I am and what I believe defines me.

I am, first and foremost, a child of God. I try to embrace that everyday and I thank God for everything he has given me in my life and I pray that he makes me stronger and better through this time of adversity. I am a mother to two beautiful little girls. They have done nothing but bring joy to my life every single day and I love them with everything that I am. I am a daughter to 4 wonderful parents. I have grown up surrounded by love and I am so fortunate to have the love of such amazing people that I am lucky to call parents. I am a sister to 2 beautiful little sisters, 1 big brother, and 1 awesome step-sister. My little sisters are my pride and joy and my big brother is my best friend. I am an aunt to 3 stunningly beautiful little girls and 1 handsome little boy. I love them like they are my own. I am a best friend to some of the greatest people on the earth. I have been blessed by friendships that I have no idea what I would do without. These are the things that define me. These are the things that do not: My many inadequecies, my fears(heights, being alone, cats, spiders, darkness, etc.), my marriage status, my income level, my messiness, and my past.

I have made many mistakes in my life, but I believe that if you don't learn from your mistakes then your mistakes begin to define you. I do not want to be defined by the past or mistakes that I have made. I know that people will judge me and that is human nature and I have been guilty of doing the same thing in the past. I am choosing to move forward with my life and I have to concentrate on myself and my girls right now. I hope I have the love and support of my friends and family and I know that I do.

On a lighter note, I haven't been very good at keeping this blog updated, but Kaylie started Pre-K here in Woodward and she loves it. She is really thriving there. I enjoy my mornings with Allie. It is so precious when Kaylie gets out of the car, Allie breaks into tears every time. I am going to buy a camera ASAP, because I can't believe I didn't get a picture of Kaylie on her first day of school, but as you can imagine she looked adorable!!

Lake Trip 2008

Every summer we go to the lake with Jason's side of the family. This was the funnest year we have had so far. Last year, the babies were so little that we didn't really get to have much fun. I am looking forward to many more lake trips. I want the kids grow up knowing that this is a family tradition that we will do every year. Here are some pictures from our trip.

New Business

I want to let everyone know that I am starting a new business with Home & Garden Party. As you all know, I have dipped my foot in almost every kind of home based business, but never before have I really had a passion for what I was trying to sell. I love to decorate and I love to help other people decorate, so I know this business is for me! My very good friend from Woodward, Erica Ernzen, is a designer for H&GP and she is the only designer in this part of the state. She is so busy that she is having parties almost every night of the week. After seeing how busy she is and the earning potential that H&GP offers, I have decided to jump in and become a designer myself.

I hope to hold a few parties a week and earn extra income for my family. I plan on going back to school in the next few years and this would be a great way to earn money for my tuition.

Home & Garden Party offers awesome hostess rewards, 20% of your party sales in FREE product, free booking gifts or credit when your family and friends book a party, one half price item for every $100 in sales!

Home & Garden Party offers Stoneware (made exclusively for H&GP, microwave, oven, dishwasher and freezer safe), Framed Art, Home Accessories, Soy Candles/Fragrances (cotton wicks, no lead), Convenient Food Items (dip mixes, soup mixes, jams and jellies). They also offer an awesome fundraising program to raise funds for your organization! Best of all, you do not pay shipping on anything!

I am offering $25 gift certificates to the first 10 people that book parties with me! All of the hostess rewards also apply to catalog parties.

I will not be blogging for a while, because my camera is broken. I just turned it on the other day and it said "lens error". Since then it won't even turn on. Hopefully I will get a new one soon, but until then I won't be posting anything new!

Happy 1/2 Birthday Kaylie!

Today Kaylie Grace is 4 and 1/2 years old!! It's hard to believe that in 6 months she will be 5!!! It seems like yesterday she was Allie's age. I hate seeing her grow so fast. I made her half of a cake, since it was her half birthday. We went to McDonald's with some friends and she got to open a small present from mommy and daddy, and Mimi and Poppy sent her some balloons. She had a fun day!

Crystal Beach Park

Crystal Beach is one of the places that we will really miss when we move home. The girls have a blast out there. We went out there this morning and they played for over 2 hours.

Kaylie loves going really high!!

Allie is already chasing the boys!

The girls on the slide.

Allie climbing up the slide.

Kaylie was sick of taking pictures, she just wanted to play!

After all that playing Allie was worn out!

Video

Kaylie has a new found love for her Barbie jeep that Papa Craig bought her a few years ago. Jason figured out a way to put it into a really high gear, so now it flies! She has been zooming around the yard all day! Also in the video is Allie eating something off the ground, which is not unusual at all. It's almost to the point where she shouldn't even be allowed outside, because she literally puts EVERYTHING in her mouth. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the video!

Britt

All About Allie!!

Don't let this innocent face fool you.......

It's like she is always thinking, "hmm........what can I get into next?

She LOVES her blankie!

She definitely does not like to share her blankie!

She likes to draw like sissy does.....

This is her new trick.......she climbed up on the table all by herself!

Time for some rare down time, eating fruit snacks and watching Teletubbies.

Allie really is into everything. She is a bundle of energy, and there is never a dull moment around here thanks to her!!

March

March was a pretty busy month for us. Here is a run down of what went on with us...... Allie was in the hospital a few weeks ago for an infection that lead to severe dehydration. She is doing better now, although I suspect we will be going in for tubes in the next few weeks. It will be a good thing though, because she has been on antibiotics pretty much nonstop for 4 months . We had a wonderful easter with our families. I loved seeing the girls hunt their easter eggs. We found a new home for Roxy (our german shepard) because she was majorly destructive and was too big for the girls. Kaylie and Jason were pretty bummed out about it, but Kaylie's mood changed quickly when Jason brought home a new Jack Russell puppy. He is 8 weeks old and we named him Toby. Kaylie says he is her new best friend.

I love the spring weather we have been having. I can't wait for summer.

My first blog!!

Hi friends and family! I am starting this blog because I want a place to write about what is happening in the Jackson household and to post pictures of my beautiful girls.

Jason and I have been married for 5 years! Time flies by so fast, because it seems like just yesterday we were dating. I am so lucky to have him. He is such a good dad and husband and I don't know what I would do without him.

Kaylie is 4-years-old going on 15-years-old. She is so sassy. She couldn't be more of a girly-girl. She loves to wear dresses and wear bows in her hair. She loves her baby sister and her baby sister loves her. Her best friend is Emma and she LOVES Disney Princesses. She goes to the Free Spirit Preschool and she absolutely loves it. I am amazed at how fast she has grown. She is so smart and caring. She loves her family so much!

Allie is 13-months-old and oh my goodness, she is into EVERYTHING. She puts everything in her mouth, so you can't take your eyes off her. She loves being outside and throws a major hissy fit if you try to bring her inside. Her favorite shows are Teletubbies and The Wiggles. It is so fun to watch her learn new things every day. She is getting more and more rotten by the day. She hits a lot, and after she hits someone she automatically will pucker up her lips for a kiss, because she thinks that will get her out of trouble. It's so funny, but she is smart, because it usually works.

These girls are our life. We love them so much. This quote sums it up
....."While we try to teach our children all about life, Our children teach us what life is all about."
